Welcome! I’m Liz, CT, RTC, RPC-C (she/her)

 

Reaching out for counselling support can be one of the hardest steps to take—I understand how overwhelming it can feel to ask for help. Life is a journey of highs and lows, and how we navigate those moments shapes us in profound ways. I’ve been through my own low points when moving forward seemed almost impossible, and I know how invaluable support can be during those times.


As a registered professional counsellor and wellness coach with over two decades of experience in mental wellness and community support, I’m here to meet you where you are. Whether that means sitting with you in the tough moments or helping you find the strength to take the next step, my goal is to walk alongside you at your own pace.


I believe in having a toolbox of different approaches because each individual is unique. Accelerated Resolution Therapy, Somatics, Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Mindfulness-Based practices, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) are just some of the modalities I use to create a personalized and collaborative counselling experience. My Trauma-Informed, Strength-Based approach focuses on recognizing and nurturing the resilience you already possess while tailoring our work to fit your unique experiences, challenges, and goals.


Whether you're navigating a major life transition, rebuilding confidence, managing anxiety or depression, or looking for tools to reduce stress and restore balance, I strive to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space for you to explore your journey. Together, we can unpack the barriers that may be holding you back and work toward creating a more fulfilling and joyful life.

I work with individuals navigating a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship issues, trauma, and rebuilding confidence. I specialize in helping clients explore their stories, build resilience, and find strategies that lead to meaningful growth and balance. If you’re unsure if I can assist with your specific concern, feel free to reach out for a consultation. 


My approach is holistic and client-centered, grounded in the belief that every person is unique, and there is no one-size-fits-all solution. Each session is tailored to your individual needs and goals, drawing from a variety of modalities, including trauma-informed care, strength-based approaches, somatic practices, Internal Family Systems (IFS), narrative therapy, mindfulness-based therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and more. Together, we’ll create a supportive space where you feel truly seen, heard, and valued, working collaboratively toward the outcomes that matter most to you. 


The choice between counselling and coaching depends on your current needs and goals. Counselling is often helpful if you’re working through past experiences, or emotional challenges, or seeking support during a difficult time. Coaching, on the other hand, is more future-focused, helping you set goals, develop strategies, and create actionable plans for personal or professional growth.

During an initial consultation, we can explore your unique situation and determine which approach—or a combination of both—might be the best fit for you.


Each session is a conversation focused on your goals and concerns. We’ll start by identifying what’s most important to you, and I’ll guide the process with compassionate, active listening and practical strategies tailored to your needs. You can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with, and we’ll work at a pace that feels right for you. 


The length of counselling varies for each individual, depending on your goals and the challenges you’re facing. Some clients find resolution in a few sessions, while others prefer ongoing support. During our first session, we’ll discuss what feels manageable and realistic for you. 


I offer both! You can choose to meet in person at my office for a more traditional counselling experience, or opt for virtual sessions via a secure video platform, which provides flexibility and convenience from the comfort of your own space. Both options are designed to ensure you feel supported and comfortable. Let me know which works best for you! 


My rates are $125 for a 1-hour session or $175 for a 90-minute session. I understand that financial situations can vary, so I also offer sliding-scale options to ensure counselling is accessible. If cost is a concern, please don’t hesitate to reach out—we can discuss options to find a solution that works for you. 


I currently do not accept insurance. However, I can provide detailed receipts for you to submit to your insurance provider if they cover out-of-network mental health services. It’s best to check with your insurance company to confirm your coverage. 


Your comfort and trust are essential to the counselling process. I offer a free 20-minute discovery call to help us determine if we’re a good fit before committing to ongoing sessions. If at any point during our work together, you feel something isn’t working or we’re not the right match, I encourage you to share your concerns openly. We can adjust our approach, explore other strategies, or, if needed, I can help connect you with another professional who may better suit your needs. My goal is to ensure you receive the support that feels right for you.
