ART offers a gentle, evidence-based approach that helps the mind and body process distressing experiences without needing to relive them in detail. Within a safe and compassionate space, we work together to reduce emotional intensity, restore balance, and create lasting relief. Through ART, you can release what no longer serves you, reconnect with your inner strengths, and move forward with clarity, confidence, and a renewed sense of ease.
For years, I lived in fear, held back by limiting beliefs and hidden behind masks that helped me survive but left me disconnected from myself. Like many of the people I now work with, I learned to push through and appear “fine,” even when I wasn’t. That lived experience is what led me to become a counsellor.
Healing isn’t linear, and I don’t believe in pretending to have it all figured out. I’m still on my own journey, continually doing the inner work and learning to show up more fully as myself. I would never ask someone to do work I haven’t done and continue to do myself.
I know how hard it can be to ask for help. I’ve been in places where moving forward felt impossible, and I’ve also experienced the power of being truly seen and supported. That is the kind of compassionate, non-judgmental space I hold for others.
With over two decades of experience in human services, mental health, and community care, I bring both professional insight and lived experience to my work. I use a trauma-informed, strength-based approach, drawing from therapies such as Accelerated Resolution Therapy, somatic and narrative work, mindfulness, cognitive behavioural therapy, ecotherapy, and more, always tailored to you.
My hope is to create a space where you can begin to take off the masks, reconnect with yourself, and move forward at your own pace. You don’t have to do this alone. Let’s take the next step together.

My work focuses on helping people make sense of their experiences, reconnect with their strengths, and find approaches that genuinely support growth, balance, and well-being. My approach to counselling is holistic and deeply person-centered. I believe that each person’s experience is unique, and therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process. Our work together is shaped by your needs, goals, and pace, drawing from a range of approaches such as trauma-informed and strength-based care, somatic practices, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, Internal Family Systems, narrative therapy, mindfulness, and cognitive behavioural therapy. My role is to create a supportive, grounded space where you feel seen, heard, and respected, so we can work collaboratively toward what matters most to you.
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is a gentle, evidence-based approach that helps release distressing memories and patterns without reliving them. It can be very effective for anxiety, trauma, stress, and feeling “stuck.”
Whether ART is the best fit depends on your goals and needs. In a conversation, we can explore how ART, or a mix of approaches, can best support your healing, growth, and balance.
Each session is a conversation centered on you—your goals, concerns, and what matters most in this moment. We’ll begin by identifying your priorities, and I’ll guide the process with compassionate listening and practical strategies tailored to your needs. You can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with, and we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you, creating a space where you feel supported and heard.
The length of counselling varies for each individual, depending on your goals and the challenges you’re working through. Some clients notice meaningful change in just a few sessions, while others benefit from ongoing support. In our first session, we’ll talk about what feels manageable and realistic for you, so we can create a plan that fits your needs.
I offer both! You can meet in person at my office for a traditional counselling experience, or connect virtually through a secure video platform for flexibility and convenience from the comfort of your own space. Both options are designed to help you feel supported and comfortable. Choose the one that works best for you.
My rates are $125 for a 1-hour session and $175 for a 90-minute session. I understand that everyone’s financial situation is different, so I offer sliding-scale options to make counselling more accessible. If cost is a concern, please don’t hesitate to reach out, and we can discuss options and find a solution that works for you.
I’m a registered counsellor and am covered by most insurance providers, but I currently do not offer direct billing. I can provide detailed receipts that you can submit to your insurance company for out-of-network coverage. It’s always a good idea to check with your provider to confirm your specific benefits.
Your comfort and trust are essential. I offer a free 20-minute discovery call to help us see if we’re a good fit before starting ongoing sessions. If at any point you feel something isn’t working, I encourage you to share your concerns openly. We can adjust our approach, explore other strategies, or, if needed, I can help connect you with another professional who may be a better fit. My goal is to ensure you get the support that feels right for you.
